Phase Two: Building The Story
Meaningful Discussions
As people start to build their own Story, we encourage them to discuss and explore what the Story means to them, and the implications for their teams. These discussions - often stimulated and fed by stories - will engage people in the journey the business is making and what they can do differently to make it a success.
Supported by special creative tools, the discussions will fuel ideas and actions, help share best practice and encourage people to embrace change. Provoked by the content of the StoryMap, they will also inspire people to tell their own stories of success and achievement, which in turn will lead to further discussions… and so on.
Capture and Share
Capturing and sharing the results of these discussions improves knowledge management and encourages continuous learning. It helps celebrate success and achievement, recognising local heroes and changing and embedding behaviours.
The sharing of stories and ideas generates a great collective energy that has a positive effect on performance, allowing people to be heard and their input valued.
StoryWeb, our special web-based application that enables people to capture and share stories effortlessly is an ideal tool to facilitate this process, supported by existing channels of communication and special campaigning materials such as postcards, posters, booklets, podcasts and awards.
